September 17

Thank you photographer Brad Slade

Today is the anniversary of when Jed and I "got together" in high school. A little cheesy, I know, but still true. We always celebrated the 17th of each month in one way or another--most likely watching a movie with gummy worms and raspberry ice. Tonight we went out to dinner without our kids; a luxury we rarely have. Sitting across the table from him, I thought about all this time we've spent together. I liked him then because he was good to me and we had so much fun together. Tonight I realized that after all this time it is still the same. Life is happy with Jed and those others he's given me.

did anyone ever notice that jayne still looks like she's 16? which is really cool for me, because it's like the memory of her from 13 (14?) years ago is still here now, sitting across the table from me at thai ruby. only better dressed and not nearly as nervous.

i kissed her that night while her mom slept on another couch only a few feet away. i had known for a while before that kiss that i would marry jayne, this was just the proof that it was going to be really sweet.

I am so glad it has been really sweet and I feel lucky to have been in the room when you two first met and connected. And look! After all this time we are still friends, it must have been a match made in heaven.. ummmm... you and Jed are a pretty good match too.

I'M so glad to have been in the same room where you first kissed Jayne. :) I'm glad that you did. She was crazy about you, I DID know that.
You two are perfect for each other. You both forget what you have and leave stuff everywhere.
:)
I love you both!
Mothe(its like Muth...Jayne calls me that.)Not Moth like the flying things.

What a darling photo and nice tribute. I think I remember the first time I saw Jed. Lisa told me to come see Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at Provo High. She told me that Jayne had a crush on the boy playing Gideon. Is that the right name? Anyway, I thought he was darling and a great singer and actor. Luckily, he was smart enough to know that Jayne was a prize! Love you guys, Shana
