Another Reason [Real] Spring Cannot Come a Day Too Soon

I've given up on wearing matching socks. It just takes way too much time. I can't have lost all of my sock matches, but every mid-to-late-morning (at least I'm honest) when I'm getting my shoes on, I get stuck searching for matching socks. Think of all the time I've wasted searching for socks! No wonder I've never had time to exercise! No more searching. What I find is what I wear.

I didn't think it'd be big deal, I mean, people wear mismatching clothes all the time (I see it every Thursday while helping in Hazel's Kindergarten!), so mismatching socks certainly couldn't bother anyone! I even wore two brown socks. But Stef called me out on it after seeing me for a mere 5 minutes. She laughed. And said things like, 'Get a life,' and 'Where do you shop, loser?' No, she didn't. But somebody might've.

So again, I plead for flip-flop season. Don't make me put on socks again!
(And I even have funny looking feet.)

Hmm...would you rather have funny looking feet or permanent mismatching socks?
Talk about bad choices!

As long as the flip flops you wear are not platform flip flops I promise not to make fun of either your feet or your footwear. (I am tempted to also outlaw crocs but I know a lot of people wear them and I don't want to start a riot... Oh, and uggs, they look just like they sound uuuuuuuuugggggly. I hope I haven't offended any of your readers - I am so sorry if you own any of the above.)

Nice new banner!!

I'm with you on this one. I have ugly feet but I still wear flip flops almost every warm day of the year. At least last year I bought some leather flip flops for variety. I don't have matching socks either, but no one can tell because I don't own any cute pairs of socks, only white, brown, and black. See? You are a much more exciting person. As for the would-you-rather, I would much rather get rid of my ugly feet (particularly the ugly "Tate" toe as Roger calls them), and go for the mismatching socks. Kindergarteners think of those as a fashion statement...we should learn from them.

I was going to say, atleast they are both brown. I give you an A for effort. I seem to have this problem too, I just didn't realise it until reading this post. I do have one pair of brown socks that I can always find, but I don't wear brown that much. Maybe that is why I can always find them! Bring on spring and flip flops!!

There's an easy solution to your problem - just get rid of the cute, fun, multi-colored, patterned socks and get 10 pair of boring, plain white ones! Boring really is better (well, easier)!

I think they actually compliment each other quite well! Sorry about your feet. That is one my best features. Too bad about all my other flaws though : (

What a beautiful blog banner Jayne and Jed! I love it. Who cares about socks? I cannot wait 'til I can water my flowers with the water dripping on my ugly feet in flip flops and put my socks away for a long time.
Muth (er)
Jayne and Katie call me "Muth". I just figured out this cool way of spelling it because we tried Moth and Mothe and neither of those worked!

We had flip flop weather here for several weeks and now I'm back to sneakers. I even painting my toe nails...

I have to go with mismatched socks. I do it all the time. And so do my girls. Luckily Greg smarten up and got me just plain ole white champion socks. But I gotta say, they are borrrring.

I've worn mismatched socks since high school. Good conversation piece and a definite time saver. If I had a choice I'd go barefoot everywhere but I can't, so I wear mismatched socks.
