Fishing with Grandpa
My Dad doesn't let anyone take pictures of him. But his guard was down Monday evening on Strawberry Reservoir. He's either used to Jed and his incessantly snapping camera by now, or he was just in his element enough to not take notice of it.
But to me, it's a great treasure to have these pictures of my dad with my children, because they show the dad I know and love. And kids coming in off the lake with Grandpa-- full of yummy treats and bright stories-- are the happiest kids in the world.

Those are amazing photos. Priceless.
I love these pictures. Reminds me of my childhood on Lake Erie. Fishing and then crying when I realized they were dinner.
I love the picture of the fingers trailing in the water and the one of Hazel is just adorable.
3 cheers for david. he was driving, manning two poles and doing the lion's share of entertaining the kids. now that i know what i takes, i don't think i could ever be a grandpa.

"Jed was a great help, and was WISE to bring lots of treats for the kids!" Grandpa Dave was also happy that Jed finally had a chance to catch some fish, since the few fishing trips Jed has been on with Dave haven't been very successful!
Gorgeous shots Jed, beautiful children, and great writing, Jayne!
Maybe a mom shouldn't be posting on her daughter's blog so often. :)
Oh well! She does write great stuff.

I can't get over all of your pictures!! Does Jed only do it for your family ....or as a side job as well?
jayne your husban has a magical touch with pic, everyone one of them is amazing. and i love your dad too, nothing like uncle daves voice when hes teasing!!
Jed, you are seriously talented.
Fishing really holds wonderful memories for kids. I would have learned to fly fish with my grandpa, but he kinda stopped teaching us when one of my cousins hooked another one in his cheek with a fly. Only bait fishing for us then. But I loved it.
I personally hated fishing with my dad...your shots make it look fun.
