A Reminder That I Occasionally Do Something Right

Hmle Fothr (Heavenly Father--who Parley calls Hemenly Father)
by Parley, age 4 1/2

I really needed this today--especially after finding that I'd just smashed and broken Hazel's brand new glasses under my computer chair.

oh I'm glad you found that--not the glasses. But that's kinda how life is, right?

Ahhh! That would have killed me! What were they doing under the chair?! It's one of those times when you just have to let go. Like last month when Madelynne poured bleach into a load of laundry in the washer and a load waiting to go it. We lost 10 shirts, 2 dresses and 8 pairs of pants. I just had to let go....

It probably says something about me that I focuses more on the lost glasses then the picture of Heavenly Father. I'll have to work on that :)

I'm just impressed that he can sound out his words so well. His mom must have been a teacher!

(so what excuse does that leave me for my 4 year
old?)

Hmm. So your 4 year old can write "Hmle Fothr" and mine can write "sex". Well, I feel inadequate.

ughhhhh sorry about the glasses!! this is such a sweet drawing...

our two oldest had glasses in that very awkward wanna-wrestle-with-my-brother all the time and it took no time for them to get broken. it was so frustrating.

oh I just love your kiddos pics! They are so wonderfully creative!
I am sorry about the glasses, I am sure that Hazey was bummed. But a least glasses are a replaceable item, don't beat yourself up about it, just an inconvenience and a learning experience, lol.

You are doing so many things right Jayniemoon! I love Parley's sweet drawing.Chuck was that age when he drew some pictures and wrote notes that he wanted me to mail to Jesus.
Lindsey its ok....Deacon was just writing about "the power of creation"! :)

Sarah, that is WAY worse! Bleach is a scary thing! I was actually so pleasantly suprised to find out the glasses were under warranty!! Hooray!

Linds, I had to go back and look at that Sex Hamm and Rex picture again because it makes me laugh so much.

The picture is priceless...and the words. You need to make some cards Jed and send them at Christmas time. I would pay good money for some to send to my friends. Such a sweet and innocent interpretation. The glasses can be replaced. The drawing is forever. So sweet and also so funny and tender. Love, Grams
