Do you have a dishwasher? I have a dishwasher. Do you know what my dishwasher does? It is this amazing machine that actually cleans my dishes for me. I simply run a little water over my dishes to rinse them, put them into this dishwasher, and they miraculously come out clean. Am I like Jane Jetson with her spunky robot Rosie or what?

If you don’t have a dishwasher, I suggest you do all in your power to get one. I think they sell them in a number of places now days—I even saw them in an advertisement at Sears this very week. These dishwashers are going to be a big hit! I’ll just bet they’ll be in most homes in the next few years.

Don’t feel down in the dumps if you don’t have a dishwasher. I’ve spent my whole marriage (5+ years) without one--until now. Without a dishwasher, you’ll no doubt have that filmy stuff on your glasses from time to time, and your silverware won’t shine because of hard water spots. You probably avoid cooking—and eating—with any of your dishes because the task of dishwashing is so daunting. I understand—I was just there a few weeks ago.

I’m going to invite you to use my dishwasher. We could sit down together to listen to the hum of the hot water spraying the soap off the filthy pots and pans. We could idle our time away reading US magazine (Who is Jen dating anyway??) because we won’t have to spend our many minutes scrubbing and scraping the plates. Oh, come to my house and bring all of your dirty dishes! I’m happy to share this glorious piece of machinery with you and all your kin. (Except that nasty Brad—how could he do that to Jen?)

I am the dishwasher at my house, and have been for 4 and a half years. And wouldn't you know, in our new house, there is not a place to put one, even if you got very creative-it just doesn't work. believe me I tried. Lance and Atticus have abuilt in dishwasher-ME. They have no trouble using, eating on and microwaving with dishes because they always get clean somehow. And yes, I cringe when Lance points out that "Hmmm looks like this fork didn't get washed very well" and tosses it back into the sink. I wish I had a dishwasher. thanks for rubbing it in!
