Thank You, Grant Fisher

There is no way Grant Fisher could've known, when he planted these trees 57 years ago, how happy they would make a girl who wouldn't be born for another 28 years.

I seriously praise his name every day.

I was talking about your glorious trees on our way home from your house the other night. Truly you are so blessed to live right up against those great mountains and have those wonderful big windows that bring light and color and peace to a soul. I am so happy for you. miek

when can i come visit? I can squeeze into that big cozy bed right next to you and jed. Then I'll wake up early in the morning and take pictures of myself on the computer while you sleep. Then I will go skip around on your yellow and white tiles and make you fresh buttermilk hotcakes! Then we'll go frolic around in those delightful leaves! deal? deal!

They are beautiful. I desperately miss mature trees, that is the problem with moving into a new development. One day someone may praise my name for all the maples we have planted, but for now the only one getting any shade from them is the potato bugs.

Jayne, what a nice tribute to Grant Fisher. I hope he will come to know how much you love his and Elaine's home. It is such a perfect home for the Wellsies! We're so happy to have you there in yours and Hazel's own forest!

I feel the same way about my big trees -- an immense gratitude for those that came before me, for their thoughtful decisions.

I commented to Star this Spring that I always feel a little more whole when the trees take their leaves again.

Jayne--

This is Hillary Fisher, Grant's granddaughter. You may remember me as Natalie Pope's friend. I love seeing what you've done to the house that I loved. I have many fond memories of the house . . . and the trees. You have done such great work. I'd love to come see it someday.
