Where Have all the Hazel Days Gone

It was the first day of school and we were late. How can you be late on the first day of school? Well we were. And those of you that know me probably aren't that surprised. But the truth is, I wasn't in a big hurry to get her there and give her up for six hours a day again. See, isn't she cute?

Not only cute, but she does totally awesome stuff like make a scientist's room in the laundry room and posts notes all over the door.

A few favorites close up:

You wouldn't want to give her up for 6 hours a day either would you?

That is so cute! :) She really is a beautiful, creative girl!

The song I am listening to on my ipod shuffle as I write this is "Where have all the cowboys gone"... Weird.

Potion! Enter if needed!

What happens if you do enter??

I love this. And she has really good handwriting.

Oh my goodness. That is hysterical. What a sweetheart! I miss her!! She is absolutely darling, I wouldn't give her up either. But...she's got to learn that Chinese. I wonder what "late" is in Chinese...?

Nope. She is a character!

Absolutely not. Take "them" to court.

I am such a sucker for Hazel's notes. I think we all need a post-it that says "enter only with bracelets", just in case. What a sweetheart.

"Late" in Chinese is "wan" (third tone). The Chinese character is 晚.
