Happy New Year

We don't send typical Christmas cards. In fact, we usually don't send Christmas cards at all. If we finish one, it's is more of a New Years/Valentines Day card because neither Jed nor I can get anything done on time. But when we do send a holiday card, well, we hope it'll make an impression. We have found we have to be kind of particular about who we send them to--you know aunt so and so might get to wondering if Jed can't afford clothes or something (he can't) (send money). In fact, this year, Jed's mom turned the card right over. I guess you can't win them all!

Christmas 2009--No card. I told you we weren't consistent.

Christmas 2008--individual portraits of the family (displayed in the sidebar).

Christmas of 2007-- a month away from having Julian. This one came with an amazing letter written by Jed about how "green" our family had become--even recycling the family photo--"we had so many left over from thirty years ago, we din't see the logic in taking a new one." I've actually still got cards (and letters) left that were probably meant to go out a few years ago. Let me know if you didn't get yours.

We're not super reliable, and we might offend, but for crying out loud, Happy New Year. And we mean it.

I just LOVE these! You guys are so creative, it's inspiring! I may get my cards out on time, but they are the boring old ones you buy at the Wal-Marts, I would rather get one of yours in the mail! I am sure it brings a smile (and maybe a few head shakes) to everyone who gets one (even if it's not til Valentine's day...) Thanks for sharing!

I'm laughing really hard right now. Thanks for the early AM pick me up :) I think I can now go face Isabelles wet sheets.

I love it, it's so awkward family photo with shirtless husband in the back.

This year my husband and I sent one out with our in utero baby's ultrasound photos showcasing the goods.

The headline read "Jingle Bells"
with an arrow pointing to the jingle bells. Our way of telling everyone it's a boy.

I don't think his Grandpa thought it was funny.

Oh well.

Jed semi-naked is slightly shocking, but are YOU WEARING A SLANKET???? if so I am your idol..err whatever.

Oh my gosh, those are HILARIOUS!!!! Great, great photos. I don't see why Jed's Mom wouldn't proudly display that one :)

Oh Jayne! You made me laugh out loud. I love that everyone assumes that Jed is just "shirtless" or "semi-nude" rather than truly in the buff. If you send these out for real, I'm begging to be on the list.

That. Is. Awesome. I am so tired of braggy Christmas cards-this is right up my alley!! Totally laughed out loud.

Jayne...I say you kick this up a notch next year and YOU be the one to go topless. Now that would be really awkward.

although topless jed is pretty great, i think my favorite part is the peace sign. awesome.

How the h#$% does he keep a straight face?!? My favorite is Hazel's face, though. You can just hear her saying, "I am so over this."

Jaynie's parents think its hilarious. So did Great Grandpa Vern and Great Grandma Dawn. But we didn't show Great Grandma Marion! She wouldn't think its too funny! :) I especially love how the kids are totally oblivious to and used to Jed's antics! I love Scott's idea too! You both make us laugh Jayne and Jed. We love it!
